And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

Leviticus 19:33

I believe that Indiana needs to adopt strict immigration laws.  We should welcome everyone who comes to the state, but only citizens of the state should be allowed to receive benefits at tax payers expense.  I believe that anyone who is not a natural born citizen should have to apply to become a citizen of Indiana.  After applying, there should be a seven year process to becoming an Hoosier.

This process will be an obstacle to those who want to come to the state in order to mooch from the tax payers.  Those who are not citizens will still be required to pay taxes, and they will be allowed to own property, but they will be ineligible to receive any welfare or entitlements.  We should welcome all who want liberty and the opportunity to succeed, but reject all who want to migrate to Indiana to live off the dole, regardless if they come from Ohio, or Ontario; South Dakota, or San Luis Potosi.

Indiana should be a beacon of Liberty; not a land for looters.
